A quick 15 minute Pilates bikini body workout integrating some of my favourite exercises and shot in a gorgeous Manly location.
Fab, foxy, feisty, fit, fun and fabulous are a few “F” words Fernwood gyms are bringing to their customers – and TV screens around the country. I loved shooting the commercial with the fantastic crew, talent and director and can’t get enough of watching dance instructor Amy Mills shaking it in the video!
Sometimes I get to exercise in weird places and wondrous ways… on clifftops, with wine bottles, clips holding my pants up in the back… Here’s a video from a LuluLemon Pilates demo I did in the Warringah Mall store’s shop window! Think you’ve seen it all – nuh uh! I’ll be teaching in between their clothes racks next – very befitting given my modeling background, don’t you think?
Can I jump! Did you really have to ask? C’mon! I used to play basketball after all. Shame only I was focussing so hard on jumping as high as I could that I ended up with knock knees and hyperextended elbows.
It looks as if this year is turning into my year of healthy foods. Not only did I make bus stops and cereal packs for Special K, my Burgen Bread TV commercial featuring me as Calcium in the Nutrients Bootcamp is also still on air. If you ask me, it’s a nice change from last year’s Imodium ad (lucky you could only barely make me out in that one, too!). Below, finally, the video. Watch out for Calcium and my crazy fast fake chin-ups and abs. The take they used was towards the end of the shoot and by the looks of it I’d stopped thinking about form and face expression by this stage.
As a travel journo and thanks to my nomadic parents, I’ve been lucky enough to travel around the world a fair bit. But when you’re living in Aus, you don’t really have to go very far to find exciting new places. Sailing up the coast, driving up to Port Stephens or flying up to Kakadu Park, you’re treated to ever changing scenery, high adrenaline experiences and lovely people.
Okay, so I though vibration platforms were a bit of a gimmick… But then I did a little research and.. as it turns out they actually work. Great if you want an additional challenge in your workout, are recovering from an injury or have limited time to exercise!
I’ve got a little secret that helps me tone up just that little bit more… It’s called Runtones – trainers with inbuilt air cushion wobbleboards! Check out this clip on Easytones, the precursor.
UGG boots are one of my wardrobe staples and so I didn’t hesitate for one second when I got asked to present UGG Australia’s Art & Sole event. Established and up-and-coming designers including Life With Bird and Nicola Finetti had given the Australian wardrobe staple a stylish twist to raise funds for The Smith Family’s winter appeal.
Here’s the start to a short work-out I recorded for my client Paralympic swimmer Ben Austin in the lead-up to the Commonwealth Games, so he could maintain his ab strength on location while tapering before the race. He took out gold despite suffering from a stomach bug on the day – well done, Ben!
Just mucking around for the camera being modelly… Switching from one mode to the next. Hard to believe I used to hate being in front of the camera when I started modeling?
